ICT Applications for Monitoring Electrical & Electronic Appliances Environmental Friendly & Sustainable Life Cycle

The event is co-organised along with the 6th Consultation Forum of the LIFE REWEEE project: ‘Development and demonstration of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) prevention and reuse paradigms‘ which is implemented by Appliances Recycling SA along with Green Fund, Ecological Recycling Society, Harokopio University, Hellenic Recycling Agency and RREUSE.

The event will focus on the use of web-based ICT applications for the environmental friendly and sustainable monitoring of Electrical & Electronic Appliances entire life cycle from the stage of production up to their end-of-life management.

Workshop with experts’ contribution in developing ICT web-based tools and platforms for monitoring production and end-of-life management of electrical and electronic appliances in line with policies and regulations and based on ‘zero waste discharge’ principles.

Consultation forum for the environmental friendly & sustainable design, management and treatment of EEE Products.

The projects

LIFE MATHER is a European project co-financed by Life Programme that aims at designing and developing a highly innovative ICT tool to collect, monitor and make accessible and interoperable chemical data used in mass market products. The tool includes EU regulations tracking in the field of chemicals and environment such as RoHS and REACH.

LIFE REWEEE is a European project co-financed by Life Programme that aims in preventing the creation of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) by promoting the reuse concept through the development of WEEE sorting centers and web-based platforms for donating and exchanging repaired EEE items.
