Professor Kokossis participated at the 15th European Congress of Chemical Engineering (ECCE 15), held jointly with the 8th European Congress of Applied Biotechnology (ECAB 8) and the 3rd Ibero-American Congress on Chemical Engineering (CIBIQ 3), in Lisbon, Spain, from September 8th to 10th, 2025.
As part of the conference, the following scientific work was presented “Bridging Physics-Based and Data-Driven Modeling for Industrial Bioreactor Dynamics”
This contribution is part of the ongoing research conducted under Work Package 5 (WP5) of the project: BIOINDUSTRY 4.0 – RI Services to Promote Deep Digitalization of Industrial Biotechnology: Towards Smart Biomanufacturing.
The work aims to integrate physics-based models with data-driven approaches to support the development of advanced simulation tools for industrial bioreactor dynamics, enabling optimized and intelligent biomanufacturing processes.
This biannual congress serves as a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and academics to share the latest research findings, technological advancements, and best practices.
This year’s main theme: “Engineering for a Sustainable World: Summit for Clean Technologies & Brighter Legacy.”
Events like this are crucial for fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and addressing key industry challenges, while promoting technological progress in the field of (bio)chemical engineering.
