Pune, India – March 5, 2025 – Professor A. Kokossis will participate in the “9th Green & Sustainable Chemistry Conference,” which is being held from March 4 to 6, 2025, at the CSIR – National Chemical Laboratory in Pune, India.
Professor Kokossis will chair the session titled Sustainable Chemistry and Climate Mitigation. In addition, as an invited speaker, he will present his paper “A Systems Approach for the Design of Integrated Biorefineries and Bioenergy Networks” during the session Sustainable Chemistry and Climate Mitigation – Other Approaches.
This work highlights how systems engineering, optimisation, and digital twin enabled approaches support the design and integration of sustainable biorefineries and bioenergy networks, contributing to climate mitigation and the digital transformation of the bio-based industry in line with Bioindustry4.0 objectives.
The Green and Sustainable Chemistry Conference is focused on the inter- and transdisciplinary aspects of green and sustainable chemistry. Contributions clearly demonstrating a link to green and/ or sustainable chemistry within the conference topics are invited.
