Last week, the IPSEN NTUA team had the honour of hosting Dr. Luis Vaquerizo, Assistant Professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Valladolid, whose research focuses on sustainable process design for the decarbonisation of the chemical industry.
The visit followed the team’s participation at the ESCAPE 35 conference, where the activities of the Bioindustry4.0 project drew Dr. Vaquerizo’s interest and led to further academic exchange.
During his visit, the IPSEN NTUA team provided focused training on digital and data-driven approaches relevant to low-carbon process design, while Dr. Vaquerizo shared his expertise on sustainability challenges and real-world decarbonisation use cases.
This two-way knowledge exchange supported the alignment of Bioindustry4.0 approaches with concrete industrial challenges and opened perspectives for future joint research and training activities, while also enhancing the project’s visibility and highlighting its role in linking academic innovation with real-world industrial applications.
